• Carrier Direct Marketing was founded in 1993 by the current owner and Managing Director: Bob Carter
   
• The Company has developed a wide range of direct marketing services supporting over 200 public and private sector clients throughout the UK
   
• The core services now include customer contact centre, multi-media response handling, brochure and mail order fulfilment, direct mail, online marketing and bulk email distribution.
   
• Carrier Direct Marketing continues to invest heavily to maintain and improve both standards and its range of services. In 2005 The Company moved from its longstanding premises on Pottington Industrial Estate in Barnstaple to its current purpose designed offices and warehouse in Westacott Road near the North Devon Link Road, an investment in excess of £250,000
   
• The Company is currently investing a further £150,000 to upgrade its complete computer software systems, due to be completed in early 2009.
   
• In 2008 the company gained ISOs 9001, 14001 and 18001, quality standards for quality management, environment and health and safety respectively.
   
• In 2009 Ian Parkington joined The Company's sister company Carter Communication, joining James Briggs to deliver new services such as destination management resources (including brochure production) and online marketing activity.
   
• In April 2009 the umbrella brand of THE CARRIER GROUP was launched in order to provide a comprehensive structure to the five different organisations now delivering a broad and diverse range of marketing services.
   
• The Carrier Group in total employs over 70 full-time members of staff and over 50 part-time seasonal staff. Turnover is expected to reach £4 million by 2010.
